About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Neurosurgery & Spine – West Clinic, located in Southwest Portland. This role is phone-based and focuses on providing patients and stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, ensuring patients receive the highest value care tailored to their needs. The position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty care Neurosurgery & Spine experience.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
• Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Checking in and out new/established patients and scheduling appointments efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Answering phones on a multi-line system.
• Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
• Updating records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
