About The Position

The Patient Services Representative at Viverant Physical Therapy is responsible for patient registration and check-in, along with clinical support duties. Viverant Physical Therapy is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, with a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. This is a full-time role based at the Roseville location. The schedule is Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; and Friday, 7:00 AM–1:30 PM. The position involves front-office patient services and supporting therapists and clinic programs. Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Customer service experience.
100 hours of related experience.
Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, business ethics guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, and employment laws.
Prompt and reliable attendance.
Ability to work efficiently and productively, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone, and email interactions.
Ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Nice To Haves

Administrative or medical office experience.
Currently applying or planning to apply to physical or occupational therapy graduate school, or pursuing a Master’s in Athletic Training.

Responsibilities

Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo identification.
Verify and document insurance information according to current business practices.
Schedule new and existing patients accurately and promptly in the current practice management system.
Communicate appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments to patients.
Prepare and manage charts.
Maintain working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks.
Communicate promptly with patients, families, and staff.
Support non-billable patient services by bringing appropriate patients back and initiating pre-therapy exercises.
Under specific instruction and supervision by a therapist, guide patients through therapist-provided education or interventions.
Assist with organizing and writing literature for exercises, therapy, and sports programs.
Assist with program-development duties as needed.
Work with the sports medicine team on established programs such as golf, dance, and throwing programs, as applicable.
Assist with coordinating schedules for the Volunteer Tech program and train and orient incoming Techs.
Clean and stock exam rooms, the gym, equipment, and therapy space.
Assist with or lead group and individual fitness classes if qualified.
Correctly lift and set up weights used for fitness, sports performance, and training.
Assist with check-in for individual and group fitness classes.
Coordinate equipment repairs as needed.
Assist with patient transport within the clinic.
Perform other duties as assigned.
