About The Position

Southcoast Health is hiring a Patient Services Ambassador at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. This role supports patient and customer satisfaction by helping patients make meal selections that comply with their diet restrictions and by entering food preferences into the patient services software platform. The position reports to the Manager Patient Services or designee. The schedule is an 8-hour day shift, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an every-other-weekend requirement and annual holiday rotation. Pay is based on experience and ranges from $16.81 to $23.81 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED plus additional courses or training, or equivalent knowledge or experience, preferred.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt once hired.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties to support customer and patient satisfaction.
Ensure patient meal selections are made as close to mealtime as possible, as directed.
Adjust meal selections to accommodate diet restrictions with the patient.
Update and correct patient-selected menus only with the patient's knowledge.
Use the menu correction guide and consult the assigned dietitian as a resource to avoid serious menu correction errors.
Describe the ingredients and features of all menu items.
Enter patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform.
Use the EPIC Platform as needed or directed.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
