About The Position
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is a non-exempt medical office position responsible for front-office processes in a physician practice. The role supports patient-centered care by welcoming patients, coordinating office communications and appointments, handling registration and payment processes, and helping patients access referrals and the patient portal. The position is with Abrazo Buckeye. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of customer service experience; experience in a hospital or physician office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including its HIPAA Compliance Plan and Corporate Compliance Program.
- Greet patients entering the practice.
- Manage office communications, including answering phones and making, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
- Check in patients, collect accurate demographic information, verify insurance, and enter data into the electronic system.
- Check out patients and assist with referral processing and scheduling.
- Collect co-pays and post charges.
- Process charge entry and patient balances.
- Provide patients with information about office policies, procedures, and the practice.
- Explain the patient portal and assist patients with enrollment.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
