About The Position

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is a non-exempt medical office position responsible for front office processes in a physician practice at Abrazo Brain and Spine West Campus in Goodyear, Arizona. The role supports the mission, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including its HIPAA Compliance Plan and Corporate Compliance Program. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires only.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience in a hospital or physician office setting.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and Corporate Compliance Program.
• Greet patients entering the practice.
• Manage office communications, including answering phones and making, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
• Check in patients, collect accurate patient demographic information, verify insurance, and enter data into the electronic system.
• Check out patients and assist with referral processing and scheduling.
• Collect co-pays and post charges.
• Process charge entry and patient balances.
• Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and practice information.
• Explain the patient portal and assist patients with enrollment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
