About The Position
The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) provides continuous one-to-one observation and supervision of patients identified as being at risk for harm to themselves or others. The PSA is responsible for maintaining continuous visual observation of the assigned patient, documenting observations every 15 minutes, and immediately reporting any change in patient behavior or condition to the assigned Registered Nurse (RN).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current BLS Certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with people in healthcare, behavioral health, educational, public safety, or customer service setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous one-to-one observation and supervision of patients at risk for harm to themselves or others.
- Maintain continuous visual observation of the assigned patient.
- Document observations every 15 minutes.
- Immediately report any change in patient behavior or condition to the assigned Registered Nurse (RN).
Benefits
- $18.50 - $26.35 per hour depending on experience
- + 20% PRN shift differential
