Patient Safety Attendant

About The Position

As a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant, you help protect patients at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. Working from a remote station, you continuously monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being and communicate concerns in real time so the care team can respond promptly. The role supports safe, compassionate patient care through attentive observation, clear documentation, confidentiality, and collaboration with healthcare colleagues.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of the employment start date.
Obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of the employment start date.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Continuously observe patients to support their safety and well-being.
Identify risks, including falls and self-harm, and promptly alert the care team so they can intervene.
Document patient activity and changes accurately and clearly throughout the shift.
Protect patient privacy and safeguard confidential information.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote compassion, respect, and teamwork.
