About The Position

Sun River Health is seeking a full-time Patient Representative/Front Desk Receptionist for its Monticello, New York site. The role provides patient-centered care and facilitates access to services in a pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient manner. It involves communicating with a diverse population and managing all aspects of patient registration and appointments. The position is an integral part of the Women's Health Department and medical care team, serving as an access point for patients to receive care. Duties are performed in compliance with applicable systems and job-specific standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
2–4 years of work-related experience.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily reception activities and ensure processes needed for patient services are initiated.
Communicate effectively with team members and patients regarding all aspects of service.
Handle telephone and mail contact with patients.
Schedule appointments, collect fees, and explain services and charges for patient services.
Distribute materials to patients, including patient satisfaction cards, patient rights information, and other appropriate materials.
Verify insurance and set fees based on the sliding scale fee.
