About The Position

The Patient Registration Representative works in the Access Center for Children’s of Alabama specialty clinics at the Main Downtown Campus, in the McWane Building. The role performs customer-focused registration and administrative tasks, including pre-registration verification, scheduling and follow-up appointments, co-pay collection, order entry, account verification and updates, and urgent registrations. It also includes pre-admission activities, limited financial counseling, and collaboration with bed placement coordinators.

The representative works collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical setting and must be flexible about working in different physical locations and roles as needed to meet customer needs. The position may require reporting during inclement weather, disasters, and states of emergency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of job experience at the staff level with specialization in Care Administration – Registration.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work in different physical locations and roles as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of or experience with SMS/Invision.
• One year of previous work experience with automated scheduling and registration applications.

Responsibilities
