About The Position

As a Patient Registration Rep, you are the welcoming face and voice of Henry Ford Health, helping ensure a smooth and compassionate experience for every patient. You support clinical and non-clinical teams by managing patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections. The role helps create a positive first impression, streamline operations, and advocate for patient needs, making a direct impact on their care journey.

This part-time position is based in Wyandotte and is scheduled for 20 hours per week on the afternoon shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet or exceed customer service standards over the phone, in person, and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in patient admitting, registration, or insurance eligibility in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC training or experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients face-to-face, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments accurately and efficiently.
• Update patient registration and insurance information in company systems.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and customers and advocate on their behalf.
• Perform new patient registration and preregistration tasks.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
