About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead the Patient Services Team in an acute care setting. The manager oversees patient food service operations based on medical direction and patient population, supports dietary needs and preferences within diet-order limitations, and works to meet patient satisfaction goals. The role also ensures regulatory compliance and participates in departmental and facility-wide quality programs.
Requirements
- Associate degree and one year of work experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in food service technology/management or a related field.
- Possess skills to effectively use Microsoft Office applications, an electronic medical record, and diet office systems.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician credential, or Registered Dietitian credential.
- At least one year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Establish goals and oversee implementation of patient food service needs based on medical direction and the patient population.
- Hire, direct, coach, train, and develop patient service team members.
- Comply with dietary restrictions for special or modified diets while supporting food preferences within the limitations of diet orders.
- Ensure patient services staff contribute to stated patient satisfaction goals.
- Comply with federal, state, and accrediting agency standards, facility confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
- Participate in or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
