About The Position

Onco360 is seeking a Patient Financial Advocacy Coordinator for its New Hyde Park, New York pharmacy. The coordinator helps patients and families access financial resources for pharmacy co-pays, including assistance through nonprofit organizations and manufacturer programs. The role involves finding resources suited to patients’ needs, explaining the assistance process, helping complete applications, and reviewing the documents required. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the pharmacy. Remote work may be possible after initial on-site training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of patient assistance or advocacy experience.
• Registration with the Board of Pharmacy, as required by state law.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB).
• At least 3 years of patient assistance or advocacy experience.
• Specialty pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Use first-call resolution to help patients and families secure financial assistance for pharmacy co-pays.
• Maintain working knowledge of health insurance and pharmacy benefit coverage, cancer diagnoses, and drugs used in treatment.
• Support applications for nonprofit and manufacturer assistance programs.
• Explain insurance benefits and co-pay structures clearly.
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance data in CPR+.
• Collaborate with pharmacy operations and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service.
