About The Position
The Patient Care Technician supports patient health outcomes by providing basic nursing care, transporting patients, and performing clerical functions throughout the hospital. The role includes developing age-appropriate nursing care expertise, applying clerical and communication skills, and collaborating with healthcare practitioners or registered nurses to support comprehensive patient care and services. The position is with MultiCare’s physician-led Pulse Heart Institute, which provides cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and vascular care.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Be eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered certification and apply within seven days of hire.
- Obtain Medical Assistant-Registered certification within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Assistant certification or licensure.
- Medical Assistant-Registered certification eligibility; an MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
- Current BLS certification.
- Recent bedside care experience in a healthcare environment.
