About The Position
The Patient Care Technician supports patient health outcomes by providing basic nursing care, transporting patients, and performing clerical functions throughout the hospital. The role involves developing age-appropriate nursing care expertise, using clerical and communication skills, and collaborating with healthcare practitioners or registered nurses to provide comprehensive care. The position is within Pulse Heart Institute, a physician-led institute offering cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and vascular services.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- Be eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered Certification and apply within seven days of hire.
- Obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within 60 days of hire.
- Hold Nursing Assistant Certification or licensure.
- Hold current BLS Certification.
- Have recent bedside care experience in a healthcare environment.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
Responsibilities
- Perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
