About The Position
The Patient Care Technician supports patient health outcomes through a varied role that includes basic nursing care, patient transportation, and clerical functions. The position develops age-appropriate nursing care expertise and clerical and communication skills while collaborating with healthcare practitioners and registered nurses to support patient care and services. The role is in the CVICU at MultiCare’s Pulse Heart Institute, a physician-led institute providing integrated cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and vascular care.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Be eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered certification and apply within seven days of hire.
- Obtain Medical Assistant-Registered certification within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Assistant certification or licensure.
- MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
- Current BLS certification.
- Recent bedside care experience in a healthcare environment.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
