About The Position

The Patient Care Technician is a paraprofessional caregiver who works under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse. The role assumes responsibility and accountability for activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties, and other assigned tasks. The technician organizes and manages activity at the nursing desk to support the nursing process and the provision of patient care, ensuring accurate and timely order entry and proper notification and coordination of the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
