About The Position

Overlake Hospital is seeking positive, self-motivated Patient Care Technicians for its high-performing, energetic, and compassionate Float Pool team. The team serves a diverse patient population across Medical, Surgical, Orthopedics, Telemetry, and Critical Care units. Float Pool technicians provide patient care and/or observation, work collaboratively with multiple departments, and deliver excellent care and customer service in a flexible, independent environment. The role offers regular training opportunities and a culture that recognizes professional growth and development.

This is a 0.9 FTE, 12-hour day-shift position, scheduled for 72 hours in a two-week work schedule, including every other weekend. The posted hourly pay range is $25.95–$38.38. Overlake will sponsor Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) licensure upon hire.

Requirements

• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) licensure required; Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire.
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification.
• Demonstrated professionalism, positive attitude, strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of hospital experience as a CNA is strongly preferred.
• Nursing school experience is strongly preferred.
• One year of recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Computer familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and/or observation for a diverse patient population across Medical, Surgical, Orthopedics, Telemetry, and Critical Care units.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to support excellent patient care and experience.
• Demonstrate flexibility while working in different hospital units.
• Provide high levels of customer service throughout the hospital.
