Patient Care Technician 2 (Per Diem)

About The Position

Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Technician performs specific duties supporting patient care, including direct and indirect care activities that help maintain a safe and efficient care environment. The technician carries out selected interventions and activities that contribute to comprehensive patient care in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. Working with the care team, the technician helps ensure a positive patient experience. This role operates in a high-activity environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling. Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held. No experience is required; training is provided on-site.

Requirements

Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
Obtain an American Heart Association (AHA) Certified BLS Provider credential within 60 days of hire or job transfer.
Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work in a high-activity environment with multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certified BLS Provider credential.
Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA for eligibility for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
