Dialysis Patient Care Technician - Per Diem

About The Position

DaVita is hiring an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. The PCT provides direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. This location requires dialysis experience and CCHT certification; paid training is provided.

This is a per-diem role with open availability for at least one day per week, Monday through Saturday, from 4:00 AM to 7:00 PM, sometimes later depending on patient needs. Teammates typically work 12- to 13-hour shifts. The position may require floating between local clinics.

Requirements

• Dialysis experience is required.
• CCHT certification is required.
• Accredited high school diploma, GED credential, or equivalent.
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment.
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet.
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Open availability at least one day per week, Monday through Saturday, from 4:00 AM to 7:00 PM, sometimes later depending on patient needs.

Nice To Haves

• CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment.
• Record vital signs and patient data.
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health.
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
