About The Position
Central Florida Kidney Centers, Inc. is a not-for-profit dialysis organization that has served the dialysis community for more than 50 years, with seven clinics in the Central Florida area. It is committed to providing dialysis care to improve the quality of life of people with End-Stage Renal Disease. The Patient Care Technician assists the Registered Nurse in providing patient care and performs dialysis treatments for assigned patients under the nurse’s direction. The role serves the Greater Orlando area and is per diem.
Requirements
- CCHT or CHT certification is required.
- CPR and BLS certification are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform dialysis treatments for assigned patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Set up and clean machines and dialyzers.
- Initiate, monitor, and terminate treatments.
- Periodically close the unit, including shutting down the water system and ozone.
- Participate in patient education.
- Participate in treatments and procedures as assigned.
