About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI), a nonprofit dialysis provider, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease during dialysis treatment. Working under RN supervision as part of an interdisciplinary care team, the PCT helps deliver prescribed treatments and promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring and documenting treatment, supporting patient education, and maintaining the equipment and supplies used for dialysis.

This is a full-time position with four 10-hour shifts starting at 5 a.m. Sundays are off, and there are no overnight shifts. The pay range starts at $18 per hour and depends on healthcare experience; prior experience is not required. DCI provides a paid 12-week training program with classroom sessions, a preceptor, and one-on-one skills training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills are desired.
• Dialysis experience is not required; job-shadow opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and dialysis machine readings during treatment.
• Set up and break down the dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships while observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
