About The Position

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI), a nonprofit dialysis provider, is recruiting a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to care for patients with end-stage renal disease. The PCT supports clinical staff throughout dialysis treatment and works as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver prescribed treatments and promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes. The role is under RN supervision and is based in a clinical setting. No prior dialysis experience is required; paid training is provided.

The schedule is full-time, consisting of three 12-hour shifts starting at 4:30 a.m. or 5 a.m. Sundays are off, and there are no overnight shifts. Pay starts at $19 per hour, depending on healthcare experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Desire to collaborate with care teams.
• Ability to problem solve.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and dialysis machine readings during treatment.
• Work under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down the dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss needed to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships while observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
