About The Position

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to patients’ personal needs and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists professional or licensed nurses, as delegated, with tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside reports and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives. The role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

The position is part of the patient care support team at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, a 217-bed hospital serving the Glendale community since 1988, with services including cardiovascular, orthopedic, obstetrics, and emergency care.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT certificate.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection control best practices.
• EKG training in selected units.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
