Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Observer
About The Position
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary to care for patients’ personal needs and comfort. Duties include assisting with personal hygiene, taking vital signs, and changing bed linens. The role may also involve serving and collecting food trays, providing between-meal nourishment, and cleaning, sterilizing, storing, and preparing supplies. The position uses commonly applied concepts, practices, and procedures in the field. It relies on instructions and established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in a medical setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory data.
- AHA BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of experience as a nursing assistant or clerical staff in a medical environment.
