About The Position

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to patients’ personal needs and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists professional or licensed nurses, as delegated, with tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside reports and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives. The role operates under immediate supervision, using instructions and established guidelines, and typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

The position is with Abrazo West Campus, a 200-bed acute care hospital serving West Valley communities. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 is available based on eligibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT certificate.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection-control best practices.
• EKG training in selected units.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
