About The Position
The Patient Care Tech (PCT) assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs. The role serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs, is cross-trained to Unit Associate, and helps maintain a safe and clean unit environment. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Obtain CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) within 90 days of hire or transfer into the role.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program.
- Florida-issued CNA license.
- Completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse program.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Assist in patient care functions.
- Assist in indirect patient care functions and transport.
- Communicate and document activities.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs.
- Assist with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
