About The Position

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs. The role serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs, is cross-trained as a Unit Associate, helps maintain a safe and clean unit environment, and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

This is a part-time Telemetry position on the day shift. A sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 is available for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into the role.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program.
• Florida-issued CNA license.
• Completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse program.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service.
• Assists with patient care functions.
• Assists with indirect patient care functions and transport.
• Communicates and documents activities.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care.
• Serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs.
• Is cross-trained to work as a Unit Associate.

• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
