About The Position

The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs. The role serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs and is cross-trained as a Unit Associate. It also helps maintain a safe and clean unit environment and performs other duties as assigned. Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center describes this as a patient care support role focused on providing essential assistance and comfort to patients throughout their healthcare journey.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Obtain CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire or transfer into the role.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, a Florida-issued CNA license, or completion of the first semester of a Registered Nurse program.

Responsibilities
