About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the collaborative nursing team who supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists patients with daily needs, helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contributes to patient comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
