About The Position
The Patient Care Technician, under the direction of professional staff, assists with patient care to support patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This full-time role is on the Med/Surg unit and works a 12-hour, three-day day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility, or graduation from a certified nursing assistant program, or completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program, or documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program as a nursing student, or documented military experience as a medic or corpsman, or foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S., or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care under the direction of professional staff.
- Provide support to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff.
