About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of professional staff and assists with patient care, providing support to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This position is full-time, works days in a 12-hour, three-day schedule, and is in Med/Surg at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one of the following: one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; graduation from a certified nursing assistant program; graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant program; documentation of completion of the first semester of a nursing program; documented military experience as a medic or corpsman; foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the U.S.; or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
