About The Position

Desert Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice, is hiring a Patient Care Supervisor to support its scheduling team in an outpatient imaging setting in Las Vegas. The role monitors incoming call volumes and team busy codes, communicates procedural updates, helps develop department procedures, and coordinates new-hire and refresher training. It also supports the CCM, maintains scheduling resources, participates in candidate interviews, and assists team members with questions and escalated patient concerns.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to four years of training and/or quality assurance experience in a healthcare or call center setting; other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD coding, medical insurance, and authorizations may be required.

Nice To Haves

An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be required.
Experience with scheduling and/or medical billing applications.
A good understanding of ICD coding.
Supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor incoming call volumes and assigned team busy codes.
Communicate updates about new procedures to the assigned team.
Contribute to developing new department procedures.
Coordinate training for new employees and refresher training for current employees on the assigned team.
Review modality schedules and adjust them as needed, including closing blocks.
Communicate potential or current departmental issues to the CCM.
Provide support and assistance to the CCM.
Maintain and update scheduling resources.
Participate in and conduct interviews for potential scheduling candidates.
Support the assigned team by answering questions and handling irate patients.
