About The Position

This role advocates for the patient’s appointments and healthcare needs. The Patient Care Representative will communicate unresolved issues to management or designee to facilitate timely interventions. This position requires demonstrating excellent communication skills effectively and efficiently, maintaining accurate records of all calls and corresponding details, and efficiently fielding patient questions and concerns. The representative will process messages and report to the respective physicians and their teams whenever necessary. Additionally, the role involves attending and actively participating in team meetings, answering phones in accordance with department standards to achieve expected goals, and communicating effectively and efficiently when in the call center assignment. The position also includes other work-related duties as assigned and consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers in a manner that reflects MACC’s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at the level of a high school graduate
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and time management skills
  • Experience with current office technology, proficient with computer office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience in a clinical setting preferred
