About The Position
As a Patient Care Assistant, you help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with basic daily living activities. You directly support patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, and assist nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms. The role calls for a diligent, observant person who is motivated to help patients and receptive to coaching. You provide direct patient care as delegated by registered nurse staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or SRNA.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge process.
- Perform unit housekeeping needs.
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Assist with personal hygiene and physical care needs.
- Accurately measure, record, and report intake and output.
