About The Position
As a Patient Care Assistant, you help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with basic daily activities. You directly support patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, and assist nursing staff with monitoring vital signs and preparing patient rooms. The role calls for diligence, observation of changes in patients’ conditions, and openness to coaching.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or SRNA.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Assist with personal hygiene and physical care needs.
- Accurately measure, record, and report intake and output.
- Obtain and record daily weight.
- Perform blood glucose testing using a blood glucose meter.
