About The Position

Visiting Angels of Marble Falls is hiring a Patient Care Aide - PCA to serve clients throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Marble Falls, Lampassas, Burnet, Buchanan Dam, and Llano. The role supports senior adults and other home-care clients in remaining or recovering at home with dignity. Caregivers provide individualized assistance and companionship, and must be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances. Shift options include full time, part time, 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, PRN, and short shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
A heart for vulnerable people and an interest in providing meaningful companionship.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the home, visiting the doctor, and taking walks.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
Report health changes and unusual circumstances.
