About The Position
Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative and Certified Coder to perform functions related to account management, coding, and charge reviews. The role supports the SLHS Physician Enterprise Central Billing Office (CBO), with a focus on charge review edits and coding support. The position has flexible hours Monday through Friday and is a day-shift, full-time role.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of applicable experience.
- Certified Professional Coder certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Responsibilities
- Perform billing and collections to manage accounts receivable for the SLHS Physician Enterprise Central Billing Office.
- Focus on charge review edits and provide coding support to the Physician Enterprise CBO.
- Conduct charge reviews.
- Perform account follow-up and reconciliation.
- Resolve issues with payers.
- Identify and report trends in billing or collections.
