About The Position
Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative and Certified Coder to perform functions related to account management, coding, and charge reviews. The position supports the SLHS Physician Enterprise Central Billing Office (CBO) through billing and collections, charge review edits, and coding support. The role also involves following up on and reconciling accounts, resolving payer issues, and identifying and reporting trends in billing or collections.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of applicable experience.
- Certified Professional Coder certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Responsibilities
- Perform billing and collections to manage accounts receivable for the SLHS Physician Enterprise Central Billing Office (CBO).
- Focus on charge review edits and provide coding support to the Physician Enterprise CBO.
- Perform charge review.
- Follow up on and reconcile accounts.
- Resolve issues with payers.
- Identify and report trends in billing or collections.
