About The Position

The Patient Access Specialist facilitates complete patient registrations in a timely, quality manner and reports the status of work in progress. The position ensures compliance with CMS rules and regulations, obtains required legal document signatures, and protects HIPAA privacy and confidentiality. It also verifies patient eligibility for services and handles cash collections. The role is based at the Fergus Falls Clinic and is scheduled for 80 hours biweekly, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Knowledge of basic insurance policies, procedures, and reimbursement practices.
• Adequate computer and keyboarding skills.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process.
• Ability to attend the work site according to the schedule.
