Patient Access Specialist - Clinic
About The Position
The Patient Access Specialist facilitates complete patient registrations in a timely and quality manner and reports the status of work in progress. The role ensures compliance with CMS rules and regulations, legal document signatures, and HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements. It also verifies patient eligibility for services and handles cash collections. The position is based at the Fergus Falls Clinic in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The schedule is 80 hours biweekly, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hourly wage range is $18.73 to $23.90, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of basic insurance policies, procedures, and reimbursement practices.
- Adequate computer and keyboarding skills.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process.
- Ability to attend the work site according to the schedule.
