About The Position
Bitterroot Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support patient access and care at its medical clinics in Hamilton, Montana. The role helps ensure a smooth, efficient, and compassionate experience for patients from the time they arrive. This is a part-time position scheduled for 20 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask.
- Friendly, professional approach and commitment to excellent service.
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology coursework.
- Two or more years of experience in a hospital or physician office.
- Prior experience in scheduling, patient accounts, unit clerk, or medical assistant roles.
- Familiarity with registration and billing processes.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments and verify insurance.
- Register patients and manage referrals.
- Handle phone calls and point-of-service collections.
- Maintain accurate records and protect patient privacy.
- Support financial outcomes and patient satisfaction.
