About The Position

Bitterroot Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative to help provide smooth, efficient, and compassionate care in its medical clinics in Hamilton, Montana. The representative serves as a welcoming point of contact for patients and supports patient satisfaction and financial outcomes while maintaining accurate records and protecting patient privacy. The position is scheduled for 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask.
• Friendly, professional approach and commitment to excellent service.

Nice To Haves

• Medical terminology courses.
• Two or more years of experience in a hospital or physician office.
• Experience in scheduling, patient accounts, unit clerk, or medical assistant roles.
• Familiarity with registration and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and verify insurance.
• Register patients and manage referrals.
• Handle phone calls and point-of-service collections.
• Maintain accurate records and protect patient privacy.
• Support financial outcomes and patient satisfaction.
