About The Position

The Patient Access Representative facilitates initial contact with patients and is responsible for completing and verifying registration information and collecting patients’ financial responsibility. The role also provides clerical support and enters status changes in the computer. Work consists of routine assignments within defined parameters, established guidelines, and precedents, following established procedures and daily instructions.

This full-time position is with Paradise Dermatology at Adventist Health Clear Lake, a healthcare provider serving Lake County through a 25-bed critical access hospital and clinics offering primary and specialty care.

Requirements

• High school education, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
• Associate’s/technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred.
• Associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the patient admission process, including collecting patient information and financial data.
• Perform clerical tasks, answer phone calls and questions, and keep files and patient information up to date.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, confirm appointments, and provide appropriate instructions.
• Enter status changes in the computer.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
