About The Position

Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with registering patients for services at UCHealth Parkview Medical Center. This is an onsite PRN position in Pueblo, Colorado, with a flexible shift and 0.00 scheduled hours per two-week pay period. The hourly pay range is $15.30–$22.53, dependent on the applicant’s relevant experience. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

Meet with patients and/or caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation.
Explain visits and provide instructions, addressing concerns and questions.
Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification or authorization as necessary.
Escort and transport patients and visitors within the facility, which may involve using a wheelchair or oxygen tank.
Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer patients to financial counselors for follow-up.
Obtain and accurately and promptly enter necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information in the registration system.
