About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join its team in Louisville, Kentucky. Patient Access Coordinators contribute to the revenue cycle by completing thorough admissions processes for inpatient and outpatient patients. The role involves collecting accurate information, protecting its confidentiality, and informing patients of their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. The coordinator also supports compliance with state and federal requirements for access services and handles insurance eligibility verification, compliance, point-of-service estimates, and collections. Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in this position. The role is preferred for the second shift, Monday through Thursday, with four 10-hour shifts beginning at 1:30 a.m. or midnight.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typing speed of 40–45 words per minute.

Nice To Haves

• Registration experience is preferred.
• Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in the role.
• Second shift, Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts beginning at 1:30 a.m. or midnight is preferred.
