About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join its team in Louisville, Kentucky. Patient Access Coordinators contribute to the revenue cycle by completing thorough admissions processes for inpatient and outpatient patients. They collect accurate information, protect its confidentiality, and ensure patients understand their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. The role includes verifying insurance eligibility, ensuring compliance, and handling point-of-service estimates and collections. The employee must maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements for access services. Exemplary customer service skills and extensive insurance experience or training are important to success in this role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must type 40–45 words per minute.
