About The Position

A highly regarded IP practice is seeking a Patent Prosecution Agent with at least 3 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for sophisticated technology clients. The opportunity is presented by MNF Global, a national legal search firm focused on IP, patent, and technology attorney placements. The role focuses on drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications and advising clients on patent strategy and portfolio development. The agent will work directly with inventors, engineers, and in-house counsel and handle technologies related to telecommunications, AI, software, and computer systems. The position also involves collaborating with attorneys across a broad national IP platform. The practice offers exposure to sophisticated technologies, direct client contact, meaningful responsibility, an entrepreneurial environment, and the opportunity to grow within an expanding IP practice. The expected compensation range is approximately $140,000–$160,000, depending on experience and technical background.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of law firm patent prosecution experience.
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical degree required.
Strong patent drafting and prosecution background.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients.

Nice To Haves

USPTO registration preferred.
Experience with telecom, AI, software, or related technologies preferred.
