About The Position

A highly regarded intellectual property practice is seeking a Patent Prosecution Agent with at least three years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for sophisticated technology clients. The role is presented by MNF Global, a national legal search firm focused on IP, patent, and technology attorney placements. The position involves drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, working directly with inventors, engineers, and in-house counsel, and advising clients on patent strategy and portfolio development. The technologies include telecommunications, AI, software, and computer systems. The agent will collaborate with attorneys across a broad national IP platform. The practice offers exposure to sophisticated technologies, direct client contact, meaningful responsibility, an entrepreneurial environment, and an opportunity to grow within an expanding IP practice. Expected compensation is approximately $140,000–$160,000, depending on experience and technical background.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of law firm patent prosecution experience.
Strong patent drafting and prosecution background.
A technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients.

Nice To Haves

USPTO registration preferred.
Experience with telecommunications, AI, software, or related technologies preferred.
