About The Position
At Main Event, Party Hosts create fun, memorable birthday celebrations while helping ensure events run smoothly and safely. Hosts welcome birthday parties and guide them through their scheduled activities, engage with guests, anticipate party needs, and assist the party parent or planner. They also handle event setup and cleanup, gifts and cake, payment transactions, and cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements
- A guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong multitasking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, team members, and guests.
- Availability to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Prior food and beverage or Party Host experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage arriving birthday parties and serve as their host throughout scheduled activities.
- Interact with and engage party guests to create memorable experiences.
- Monitor events, anticipate party needs, and assist the party parent or party planner.
- Gather and store birthday gifts and cake, when applicable.
- Process payment transactions and welcome guests back.
- Set up, break down, and clean before and after each party event.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
