About The Position

The Parts Warehouse/Shipping - Receiving Clerk verifies and maintains records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. The role involves handling shipment documentation, selecting shipping methods and packing materials, preparing outgoing items, inspecting incoming deliveries, and moving loads between shipping, receiving, storage, and work areas. The position is based in a customer-centric environment at Crest Auto Group. Full-time availability and work every other weekend are required.

Requirements

Available to work full time.
Available to work every other weekend.
Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
High school degree or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and individual customers.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Related experience or parts warehouse experience is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of car parts is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing items to verify shipment details against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
Determine shipment methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Select containers and assemble them when necessary.
Pack items using appropriate spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
Secure containers and apply shipping labels.
Post weights and shipping charges and affix postage.
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and contact shippers to resolve damages or shortages.
Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
Operate a tier-lift truck or use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist loads between shipping and receiving platforms and storage or work areas.
Receive damaged or defective goods returned to the establishment.
Receive unsold products returned by the Parts Driver.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
